Aircraft rental in greater LA area
I will be going on a vacation with my wife in the beginning of September, we are going to Los Angeles.
I would like to rent an aircraft in the LA area for an overnight flight to Las Vegas.
I prefer something "packin' a little power" ie. not a 152 or similar.
I hold FAA ATP and first class medical.
Any suggestions?

LA area aircraft rentals
Upon arrival LAX, suggest you look for aircraft rental at general aviation airports such as Hawthorne, Santa Monica, Long Beach or Van Nuys. Numerous operators will rent various types of aircraft. You also might get a better rental rate at more distant locations, such as Chino, Riverside, Santa Paula or Camarillo.

The problem is that there are many different telephone "Yellow Pages" books for the LA area, some hotels might have a few in their office... or try listings on Google...

Suggest you plan your flight to land in North Las Vegas airport, which is just a few miles NW of the main airport... Better for general aviation... Most operators will sell you the maps you might require. On the way to Las Vegas, there are numerous airfields you could land at, if you wish...
