SHF vs USMC

Anyone want to shed light on a story I heard. Apparently an RAF Chinny was shot at by Marines. So the boys landed on next to said grunts and had a frank and free discussion about 'how many effing Iraqi Chinooks are there?'. It seemed to end up in a punch-up.

I know they had a pop on Tueday at a Puma (Hipalike).

Someone on another thread used the phrase 'apart from a few unfortunate incidents' in reference to blue-on-blues. ****.

Well now , could it be, the Chinook gang got to hovering about in the wrong place.....blew sand and garbage all over the place....sent tents and personal items to the four winds.....realized they were in the wrong place and ******ed off looking for somewhere else? That could easily provoke a bit of tracer up the stern tube!

On the other hand, it could be that one or both "stories" are complete BS.

But why let that get in the way of a good wind-up?

I seriously doubt it. The Chinook is almost a dead ringer (although twice the size) of the Corps' CH-46E which is our main troop transport. The grunts would not be shooting at it.

That story about the Chinook pilot coming to blows with the US Marine can't be BS, I read it in the daily mirror!

(Wonder who it was?)
