Mercenaries

Having been colourfully described as "Mercenaries" by that little **** Mohammed Al Sahaf, the so called Iraqi Information Minister (WTF does he get his information?), could you please let my Boss know exactly where on the Salary Scale we now fit !

Where does my old salary end and the new "mercenary" scale begin ?

I don't think we qualify for Mercenary pay. A Mercenary is somebody who participates in warfare without necessarily agreeing with the cause or fully understanding it. Hang on, maybe Al Sahaf was right after all.

Right then, Mercenary pay. That'll be tax-free and performance related for a start. So the SHAR boys at home will be no better off (how do you defend a boat if you're not on it?) The deployed FJ, ME and SH boys doing the work should come home with fat wallets and sun tans.
