RAF Typhoon Display Team - New livery for 2024
Irony ? Don't you realise that the entire Typhoon fleet is already camouflaged, just not with a WW2 brown/green scheme or such. Camouflage refers to whatever colour scheme is best assessed as suitable for the platform as intended to be used. It's not even just aircraft, consider the disruptive schemes applied to many ships.
The irony is a dedicated display aircraft (ie to be seen) that is camouflaged (ie to be hidden).

I like it, a full scheme for the 80th, it really looks good too. It is nice to see the RAF being proud in its identity and heritage again and projecting that, instead of the poverty stricken half hearted anniversary scheme they did previously. They should be proud of what they have achieved, past , present and future.
Incidentally, didn’t they do an Hawk in a similar style scheme years ago but had to repaint it after the season as it was difficult to see low level.

19 had one painted in a green and brown scheme with a yellow 19 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of it introducing the Spitfire to squadron service.

Grey/Green Camo with light grey nose, nothing new there but I suspect a less technical reason for 19's then sister squadron.
