This should flush out the enemy...
Pans away!
Navy "E" for excellence?
Nope....."Aviator" for Effluence!
Nope....."Aviator" for Effluence!
Navy cutbacks results in buying cut-price munitions on a BOGOF offer...
"It may not strictly be in the Geneva Convention, sir, but it sounds bloody marvellous on the way down"!
Misunderstanding a PAN, PAN, PAN call on the flight deck.
The 2 guys on deck are saying: "don't look now, but those bloody armourers are just going through the motions again" - "yes, they're really driving me around the bend, they've gone completely potty" - "just taking the p1ss, aren't they?"
The sequel to "Game of Thrones", set in the 20th century, starts filming.
Admiral Kuznetsov returns from an assignment in the Black Sea with confiscated assets
Unanticipated friction with the first women serving on board a carrier:
"...and if you don't put the seat down next time, you'll be strapped to it when it's dropped."
Proof that the Skyraider really was built like a brick sh1thouse.
Skyraider pilot Lieutenant Tom Crapper maintaining a family tradition.
Dropping an "E" in 1969 meant something rather different!

We'll see how this idea pans out...
With conventional leaflets showing no effect, it was hoped that a subtle reference to Sedan (via Auguste-Alexandre Ducrot) would prey on the minds of the French-educated officers.

Armitage Shanks explores new business opportunities

Okay, It's time to judge (though I suspect the design was judged long ago . . .)
Third runner up is Nutloose with: "And when you stop we lean to one side and it rolls into the car parking bay."
Second runner up is BPF with: "The other bicycle builder that wanted to try building an airplane." (Mine would have been "Maybe it did come from a bicycle shop. But it still isn't Wright.")
First runner up is FDR, with "which part of the plans did the dog barf on again?"
But the winner, bringing a little badly needed culture to an otherwise cheesy competition, is Wensleydale with: "Spanish aircraft manufacturer CASA begins to regret their decision to employ Pablo Picasso as an aircraft designer...."
Congratulations to all -- I have plans to deliver the CST, but they're still a little, well, abstract.
