I suppose the idea is when the charge detonates against the cope cage, the blast kills the unprotected rider who then falls off into the ready made metal coffin mounted above the third wheel, thus providing an easily removable metal casket for burial.

Drones are an interesting problem for infantry. No longer can a fox hole offer much protection. It must take quite a toll on the nerves knowing one could be above you at any time.

I have thought a lot about this issue for a while.
A well prepared static position should give very good protection against a drone.
The UK method of trench digging would give good overhead protection against a shell landing very very close.
To overcome the drone threat my thought would be that you need an overhead baffle protection like a cam net to stop the drone from entering the position.
If it comes in or a grenade drops in, then a 90degree return for the hardened shelter area is needed.
This is obviously much harder to do when advancing.
Many of the videos seem to show when Russian troops are caught in the open when on resupply tasks, moving casualties or going to the loo.
Of late, you see less often munitions dropped into trenches. As perhaps the Rusks have started to pay attention.
I have also seen more videos of Rusks placing shelters under knocked out armour or inside buildings and cellars - which seem to attract larger drones!

A video that will be very painful for the occupiers to watch.

UAV pilots of the Bureviy brigade of the ‘Khoriv’ operational battalion asked to publish these powerful footage of the destruction of the enemy in the Serebryansky Forest with the following words:

“The video is recommended for viewing by the russian armed forces. We SEE you, HEAR you and ELIMINATE you. Our task is to rationally explain to the enemy that they aren’t welcome here, and teach them to sit at home. Let's keep the line!”

Systematically working a Russian column, after the front vehicles are taken out, the rest scattered, then Ukraine went to work, locating and destroying them all.

That’s a video of the column discussed in #10902.

UK Hospitals report cyber attacks affecting operations.
I believe the UK is under a broader series of cyber attacks. Yesterday Facebook had some service issues as well as various other sites I visit including this one.
Unconnected perhaps. A good time to ensure all your patches are up to date.

I'm intrigued as to why we don't see turret tossing anymore?

In the most recent video the explosion after the final drone hit blows open two hatches on the top of the turret and one in front of it, plus there seems to be gas pressure release around 50% of the turret / body join which would release the internal pressure, that may be relevant?

Two RPGs (?) from the left to stop it and one drone (with white bomblet/grenade?) to sneak under the turret and cook the tank..

From a cost/benefit analysis this is a very good exchange of value. What does a drone or RPG cost vs a tank? Drones are totally changing the battlefield in ways no one anticipated. It's amazing to see hovering camera drones surveying the battlefield and zooming in on targets; I assume coordinates are then transmitted to attack drone drivers (or whatever their called) and cheap drones are sent to destroy the target. It's must be extremely off-putting to the Russian forces to know that simply taking a piss can lead to death. The videos of soldiers trying to evade a drone as they are chased around a tree.... Can the soldiers just surrender in some way? I would.

I can see a future where every ground based vehicle has some form of deployable drone technology. Drone launchers?

Much of the drone footage gets badly distorted as it approaches the target. Does this mean they are encountering defensive interference?

If there aren't any ammunition in the carousel that would explode, the turret stays on.

Turret tossing requires that the carousel is loaded and penetrating material reaches the ammunition under the turret floor. Generally that happens when high velocity anti tank weapons such as NLAW or Javelin are used. I doubt that the type of load a drone carries is able to do that.
