The Ukrainians are obviously quite capable of launching a serious attack on the Kerch bridge itself, yet are chosing not to. After the first two efforts months ago they have chosen to leave it alone for another day...

Speculation, please, as to what they are waiting for?

The way I see it is

If they are no longer using it as a supply route, which they appear not to be, then Ukraine have other more relevant targets of interest to hit.

If at some point it starts being used then it may become a target of interest again, it also allows the Russians an escape route if their war goes badly, better to let them flee than have to deal with thousands of trapped Russians.

To quote Michael Weiss..

It was a slow news day yesterday, so you're all forgiven for not appreciating that a U.S.-made missile old enough to have seen Nirvana in concert whistled blissfully past Russia's state-of-the-art air defense systems in occupied Crimea and hit its target perfectly.

Well that’s telling them, I doubt it will go down well in Moscow.

On top of what said NutLoose, as the bridge has a high symbolic value, there are air defense systems dedicated to protecting it.
if the bridge is destroyed, these systems will go to the frontline.

Destroy these air defenses as well as the bridge. Problem solved.

Nuke card again

BBC reporting:

Russian officials have made clear their anger at the prospect of F-16s being used over their territory. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that F-16s would be destroyed just like anything else supplied by Nato, and would not change the situation at all.

However, as F-16s had long been used in Nato's "so-called joint nuclear missions", he warned that supplying them to Kyiv could only be seen "as a deliberate signal from Nato concerning nuclear weapons"

Hopefully they can rain fire and clusters down on these collection points and decimate them before they kick off.

Last night’s large-scale Russian missile attack on Ukraine appears to have once again targeted the country’s energy infrastructure, with power plants and other sites in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv Regions being struck causing major damage as well as several large fires.

In the city of Zaporizhzhia, the Dnieper hydroelectric dam and power station was reportedly struck again by multiple missiles, resulting in damage to the structural integrity of the dam causing it to now be Ccosed to vehicle traffic.

#Russia 🇷🇺 BREAKING: Russian channels are reporting a large scale attack on military targets in the #Belgorod region tonight.

This comes after the Americans have greenlight to the Ukrainians to strike across the border.

Russian channel Readovka speaks of a 'massive' attack and reports at least 20 explosions.

Ukrainian military bloggers hopefully Russia has reached the bottom of the bag in artillery, and barrels, they can drag out if storage - we already know they are now putting 1950s T-55/54 tanks and IFVs on the front line.

With news that Russia's vast artillery storage sites are on the verge of total depletion*, the daily destroyed Russian artillery numbers are the thing to watch.

It's finally caught up to them…

Seems that meat wall attacks with limited artillery and armour haven’t worked out that well. Meanwhile, as above, Ukraine now has permission to hit the units forming up across the border and is hitting their rear areas in force.

Look what just happened. This was yesterday, Ukraine has moved back to the border and Russia has pulled back…

Reaping the wind you have sown, where is the smug “we are Russian and superior” now, long may they know the fear they have foisted upon the peace loving Ukrainians for so long while they closed their eyes to it..

Suck it up, it’s only just beginning. No sympathy here…
