From the New York Times today https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/29/w...ns-russia.html
Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken suggested on Wednesday that the Biden administration could be open to tolerating strikes by the Ukrainian military inside Russia, saying that the United States would “adapt and adjust” its stance based on changing conditions on the battlefield.
Mr. Blinken said that the United States had neither encouraged nor enabled such attacks. But he said that the Ukrainians needed to make their own decisions on how to best defend themselves — a position he has stated before — and that the U.S. government had “adapted and adjusted as necessary” as the war evolves.
When asked by a reporter whether his words meant the United States could support attacks by Ukraine inside Russia, he said, “Adapt and adjust means exactly that.”
Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Washington has sent the Ukrainians military aid but has repeatedly asked that they not fire U.S.-made weapons into Russian territory for fear of escalating the war.
Several European leaders have called on President Biden to stop imposing those limits, among them Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and Emmanuel Macron, the president of France.

Now that Russia is building housing for their aircraft, the realization sets in just how bad the Biden admin screwed over Ukraine by blocking their ability to fire on Russian territory.
What a huge missed opportunity, soon totally gone as Biden dithers.

It seems there was some not happy people early on when Ukraine used Patriots against Russia, odd they are still are scared of Russia’s response when they have already been used.

I'm in tears... This may be Ukraine's first official F-16 mission... Ukrainian fighter pilots escorted President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Belgium in their F-16s! The image was taken through a window on Zelenskyy's plane.

Slava Ukraini!!!
Annoying but nothing some SCALP/Storm Shadows or Taurus can't fix. Just make sure they have them at their disposal in sufficient numbers. That is what worries me more. Are we building new Storm Shadows/SCALP/Taurus? Or will happen the same as did with 155's. Deplete the stocks and then ending up naked (for ourselves and for Ukraine).

You can't make it up. Russian troops near Novomykhailivka storm not Ukrainian, but their own positions. After a while, they realized.
Ukrainians did not have to fire a single bullet.

Belgium says no, Denmark says yes - but no one will know where an individual F-16 came from once repainted apart from the Ukrainian Air Force, right?
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen has stated that Ukraine will be able to use Danish F-16 fighters to strike military targets on Russian territory.
"Part of the border is actually the front line. Therefore, it will be very difficult for the Ukrainians to defend themselves if they are not allowed to hit military targets on the other side of the border," @larsloekke told reporters on May 30 at a doorstep of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (Trade) in Brussels, pointing out that this position is not new and is part of a transfer.
But he stressed that this is "not a carte blanche for Ukraine to use F16s to launch arbitrary attacks on Russia."
According to him, Russia's military installations, like weapons depots, are "legitimate military targets" since Russia attacked Ukraine.
"It is completely within the rules of war that a country that is attacked must be able to respond. This also includes the right to target installations on the attacking party's own territory," the Danish minister of foreign affairs said.
