Ain't gonna happen. Core Russia and especially St. & Moscow are so profoundly Christian Orthodox, they won't accept a Muslim at the top. Also Kadyrov won't have the networks in the inner circle. I noticed that Shoigu had public apperances while Putin was temporarily absent from public. If it won't be Patruchev I would tend to put some money on Shoigu. I did have Prigozhin on my personal bet list though before he started his (mis-) adventure and the inevitable consequences.

Why bother replacing Putin at all. So long as Russians continue to believe the myth what does it matter.

Didn't Shoigu recently claim to have destroyed all the Ukrainian aircraft capable of launching these missiles?

Assistant to Ukrainian military commander killed by booby-trapped gift

A close adviser to the commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s army has been killed after a booby-trapped birthday present he was given exploded.

“Under tragic circumstances, my assistant and close friend, Major Gennadiy Chastiakov, was killed … on his birthday,” Gen Valery Zaluzhny posted on Telegram on Monday, saying that an “unknown explosive device detonated in one of his gifts”.

Chastiakov leaves a wife and four children, he said. Zaluzhny added that since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Chastiakov had been “fully devoting his life to the armed forces of Ukraine and the fight against Russian aggression”.…

The Head of Karachaevo-Cherkesiya awarded Adam with the highest order of the region - "For services to Karachaevo-Cherkesiya".

This is the fourth similar award for the young Kadyrov after he beat up a detained person in prison (the video of that was published by Ramzan Kadyrov himself who added he was proud of his son).

Such activity to present Kadyrov-junior as an esteemed and valuable citizen might point that he has been appointed as Kadyrov's successor and is now getting established as a legitimate heir.

This might have two possible reasons:

1️⃣ The rumors about Kadyrov's poor health have some ground to them.
2️⃣ Kadyrov could be considered as a possible successor to Putin and he is getting ready to move on.

In any case, the situation needs to be watched carefully. Chechnya and the Kadyrov clan have enormous power, incredible wealth and a loyal private army. They have a lot of influence within the Russian world and outside it (especially through the Muslim community).

For a moment I thought that the orders were to attend the front. Pity.

The video that has come out of the impact appears to show the missiles both overflying the center of the vessel, and impacting somewhere on the port side of midship, with a fair amount of blast out towards the wharf area. The closeup shows the blast was out to port. Would suggest that the targeting of the system is so accurate that they can adjust their aiming point for the final approach path and achieve a greater damage outcome by impacting slightly short of the center towards the direction of flight.

Just sayin', that is a remarkably accurate final point of impact, projecting the detonation into the center of the ship may give a better bang for the bucks. However, that boat is not going anywhere other than an artificial reef anytime soon.

Slight change of topic, the Ukrainians plead for tanks and better weapons, and dragging our feet, we finally overcame our reticence and fears to give them a minimal amount. What Ukraine has done is remarkable. With or without our heavier systems, they have effectively put the Russian military capability back to an extent that Eritrea is now more of a conventional military power than Russia. Ukraine did that, in most cases in spite of our pitiful level of support. We are obliged to assist, that is the obligation that all UN members have if they have an intent to comply with the UN Charter. That the UN is absolutely gutless as far as the UNSC is concerned is a separate matter. The simple fact is, UN members are supposed to comport themselves in compliance with the charter, which apparently Russia continues to use as it is soft and thoroughly absorbent, as sanitary waste. Ukraine has earned the right to be armed accordingly, and we collectively have the stain of the losses that Ukraine have suffered from our tardy response to the moral obligations that exist from supposedly being part of a civilised community. Russia elected to forgo civility for criminality, Ukraine has an existential threat, and in the end, failure to provide Ukraine the tools to do the job will assuredly cause the extension of Russia's learned response, that aggression is responded to by Chamberlain like appeasement, which is still where we are, irrespective of the noise from the MAGA crowd, (the ones who will take up arms against their own government, but are absent from he front like in Ukraine) Slovak and Hungarian govt that seem to have a fondness for the days where they were part of the fascist agression against civilisation, including extermination of Hungarian jews by the same attitude that is now in fashion in Budapest.

NEW - France is now seriously investigating the possibility that Russia was indeed behind the marking of buildings with David Stars, in an attempt to destabilize the country.

Following the antisemitic vandalism, a couple from Moldova was arrested and confirmed multiple times during their detention that they took orders from Russia.

Last week, 200 stencils were found in several areas of Paris (Hauts de Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis). Another couple was identified, but has since left the country.

Investigators think those two attempts are tied, and that the methods point towards a "commando operation" (per a police officer quoted in the article, and in the sense that it was fast and organized).

Russia, terror, gangs: Sweden’s ‘worst security crisis since 1945’

Sweden is facing the most serious challenges to its security since the Second World War, one of its top foreign policy officials has said.

The Scandinavian country, once a symbol of peace, neutrality and social cohesion, is now threatened on three fronts by Russia, Islamist terrorism and a wave of shootings and bombings as armed cartels battle for supremacy over drugs.

Henrik Landerholm, Sweden’s national security adviser, said these dangers were feeding off one another as Moscow used disinformation and other hybrid warfare techniques to target the weak spots in its society and stoke anger among fundamentalist Muslims.…

On Monday, the government will begin assessing proposals from the chief of defence staff on how to reshape the armed forces to counter the resurgent security threats of the 2020s and help to safeguard the Baltic sea, a significant target for Russian aggression.

Landerholm said Sweden was still coming to terms with its new strategic role on Nato’s eastern flank, not least because of the Swedish island of Gotland, which overlooks the main maritime routes through the Baltic and could be pivotal in any large conflict.

“One thing that has actually changed is our own strategic perceptions — to what extent we understood that our territory and the [accompanying] opportunities to protect and defend the Baltic area are increased by Swedish Nato membership,” he said…..

“That was not taken into full account before we started the accession process. We may have even underestimated the importance of our territory for the alliance.”

In reference to the events in Taganrog air base, Brady Africk reported that parts of the Russian chopper fleet were repositioned to this location. Russia has been banking on that Ukraine will not use Western missiles against an airbase on Russian soil. Unfortunately for them, Ukraine has other means to accomplish that….

Recent imagery of Russia's Taganrog air base shows several helicopters and large aircraft alongside vehicles and equipment.

It looks like the airfields in Crimea may have been hit again. Loud explosions have been heard near towns of Novofedorivka and Saky

Imagine Ukraine had a missile with a 1t warhead. That would really leave an impression on the ships and docks.
