Either way, American accent or not, he may be brushing up on his Hebrew to ask St Peter if he will let him in.. My bets are on him being refused.

Fingers crossed, Russia has lost some Mig-31s…

There are emerging reports that Belbek air base in Crimea was attacked, with reason, per the link:

"At the Belbek airfield in Crimea, the occupiers have already placed MiG-31 aircraft, which, in the case of modification, can be carriers of "Daggers".

At least one Russian channel reports of two hits on secret locations and at least 30 dead…

So by stating they hit two classified targets they have cleared up any Ukrainian uncertainty that they were military targets and not just simply a knocking shop and a garden centre

Good to see Russia letting Ukraine know that they were genuine targets of interest… so helpful
And the author wonders why the source was so reluctant to talk about it.

Muppets, one and all, and long may they continue to be

Ukraine warning that if Russia uses any of the occupied ports or shipping to transport military cargo through them, they will strike at both.

A quiet day around Avdiivka, only 6 attacks, perhaps Russia has finally realised the futility or are they preparing for fresh assaults?

If you ever needed proof that ATACAMS are working, it has to be this. Why else would you try to prevent their use, incidentally, since they lost a shedload of Helicopters, operations by them have diminished significantly I have read.

Let's hope that these aren't made of cardboard!
Approx 230kms from Kherson. So could have been hit from further away..

Seems a bit odd that - if the sat pic - is true, it's a normal RU thing to have these 31's still sat on the tarmac.... within 230kms...

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤫🤫🤫

Russian Defence Minister Shoygu said that the Russian army obtained systems that allowed it to take down 24 Ukrainian military aircraft in 5 days.

They claim to have shot down the following:

October 19:
• 2 aircraft
• 2 helicopters

20 October:
• 10 Mig-29, 2 Su-25
• 2 Mi-8 helicopters

October 21:
• 4 aircraft
• 3 helicopters

22 of October:
• 3 MiG-29, 1 Su-25

October 24:
• 2 MiG-29 and 1 L-39

That's 10 Mig-29's on 20 October alone….

the problem with that report is, Shoigu's lips moved, a dead giveaway.

Does Ukraine lose (loose? transitive verb... lose) aircraft occasionally, yes. Are their guys pretty good at what they do, I would think so, to have survived this long around the FEBA. I think that their greatest risk from the VVO is getting run into, like the MQ-9 over the Black Sea. Russian pilots greatest risk is their own SAMs taking them out, which while the sentiment is appreciated, does seem untidy, but it does explain the colors of the Russian flag, oops, no it doesn't that should be red on red, the flag is red on blue.

Nevertheless, let's get the UKR some F-16s ASAP, and hopefully with some good EW, and standoff weaponry.
