This is a helpful report by the Ukrainian journalist Butusov on the battle of Avdiivka as of late 22 October. It goes over the military formations involved in the battle from both sides and touches upon the current situation….

surely this is the Russian Federation's mobile latrine vehicle, to spread not only mir but poop! It has it's own roto rooter, if I'm not mistaken, to be applied to it's troops to prepare them for the opportunity to gloriously leap 200' in the air and spread themselves in 50 different directions for the glory of Vlad the gnome.

A story worth reading, a day in the Avdiivka battles from UKR infantry point of view.

The poster believes he was fishing for food.

A link to the image though he has been blurred out, ironically a shell that landed short apppears to have killed a lot of the fish he was after.

It appears that the Russians may be losing multiple brigade elements from the 2nd CAA and DNR forces in their assault on Avdiivka. Gerasimov strikes again, this time with no pushback on his bad ideas (so far). Yet there are some troubling issues to consider. A thread. (/1)

More of supposed Ukrainian loses, all without a timeframe but again as above not verified and the reporter appears to be batting for the other side. Stuff like the Chally 2 was months ago and I recognise others from even further back.

I will quote the link,

September - Russian soldier films a dugout party he's having with his comrades in the Bakhmut direction.
October - the same Russian soldier films his position where everyone, except him, are dead, after a Ukrainian strike.
Beware some body parts, no blood, so just the quoted link only

I distinctly hear an American voice, at the end of the starting party segment, say 'give that guy a glass, man'. WTF?

What you heard was what you assumed to be a voice speaking in American English.....and you know what can happen when one "assumes".

Was the voice from an American....;how do you know?

I have met an elderly Chinese fellow on the streets of Beijing that spoke American English as well as any Mid-West Corn farmer I ever met.

Heard only and not seen and not knowing where the recording was made.....one would think the speaker was American or perhaps a Canadian that left off the "A's".

Okay, I'll modify my statement:
I distinctly heard what sounded like an American voice, speaking with American idiom and inflection, at the end of the starting party segment say 'give that guy a glass, man'. WTF?

Last tidbit I saw on the Ukraine War ... Oct 23, 2023 - ISW Press.(take grains of salt as needed)
.
Russia's domestic production of artillery shells, supplemented by increased ammunition imports from North Korea, will likely allow Russian forces to sustain sufficient rates of artillery fire in Ukraine in 2024, albeit at a relatively lower level than during 2022.
I am guessing that Russian grain to North Korea may help pay for artillery shells ...and that they have settled into "this war will take a while" as their position.
