Of course. They'd only get killed by friendly fire, then!

So it takes 2 guys to go get some spare parts and there was no room in the car for the small child …..
yeah that’s a completely plausible scenario…NOT!

Usual caveats:

"The AFU destroyed the latest Russian coastal radar with increased stealth, the $200 million Predel-E, in Kherson region. Along with the Predel-E, a modern Leer-2 electronic warfare system was destroyed."

Almost inevitably conscripts are reluctant.

So what?

Barring a small proportion of heroes the entire adult population of Russia bears a degree of responsibility for long-term acceptance of a moderately comfortable dictatorship and oligarch- driven state, where corruption is endemic and words mean only what they are said to mean. Yesterday's truth is todays denial. Today's truth is being an evil pariah state in danger of becoming a failed state, scarcity of desirables, inability to travel, and increasing explosions in the night and dropped cigarette ends.

They can suck it up. They have sown the wind and can start to reap the whirlwind.

Wokkafans It would appear that Ukraine are trying to establish local air superiority, or at least greater freedom to operate air platforms.

Meanwhile, RU is pushing to advance in the Karkhiv region, not sure how that's going... give it 48 hours or so, picture will clear up.
This is being reported (in the stuff I get) at the same time as the Ukrainian offensive is reported to have breached a significant defensive line.
Spoiler

Saw a few other news tidbits, but no graphic war porn to share.
EDIT:
OK, a bit of an update from Business Insider, not sure how good the source is.

The 76th is arguably Russia's best division and is "relatively fresh," according to Rob Lee, an analyst with the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia. Ukraine claimed on Monday to have "liberated" Robotyne from Russia, with plans to continue pressing forward towards the Sea of Azov where it aims to split Russian forces in two, Reuters reported.

Ukraine's capturing of Robotyne is one of its most significant achievements since its counteroffensive began over two months ago.

🇬🇷Greece can transfer its Leopard 1 tanks to 🇺🇦Ukraine

🇩🇪Germany has turned to Greece with a proposal to hand over 100 Greek Leopard 1A5s that are currently in service to Ukraine, in exchange for modernized armored vehicles.

According to the publication, in exchange for outdated Leopard 1A5 GR, Greece can receive modernized Leopard 1A5 tanks from 🇮🇹Italian stocks on a one-to-one basis.

At the same time, Germany will bear the costs of a complete overhaul at Greek enterprises or at any other location chosen by the Greek government.

Assuming the companies haven’t all gone bust by then, it appears the U.K. may assist in Ukraines rebuilding.

In view of the recent comments about how 'we' are fed pro Ukraine war footage..
I'm not sure if NL or Orac have access to this footage.

I seem to be only to able to link via my 1drive.
Caveats are that what I post from 'this' site may not be accurate in any form. However, the ones I have linked here were dated 25th Aug 2023 onwards I think.

Russian Invasion Ukraine 2.mkv

Russian Invasion Ukraine 1.mkv

If these links work, then I will try and get more. There are a lot of Pro Russian videos - showing the same sort of stuff we see - but in reverse.
And in myself coming across these videos, it makes think twice at how many Leopard's we have seen blown up, in the sense that maybe RU is doing ok with its drones and artillery and the attrition rate (vehicle and Man), is maybe equal(ish).

For me there is a distinct difference that alters my emotional response. The Ukrainian videos show them defending their country from Russian invaders. The Russian ones show them killing Ukrainians in their own country. We may not know the true figures for death and destruction for the two sides until this is over (and if Russia were to prevail, probably not even then) but I know my feelings towards the Russian soldiers shown in those videos; I hope the Ukrainians get them.

Ukrainian troops have reached the outskirts of Verbove and seem to have dug-in whilst outflanking the Russians in both Verbove and Novoprokopivka and pushing south to isolate both.

Russians reporting to be retreating to their next line of defence in response.

Ukrainian troops have success in the direction of Verbove in the Zaporizhia region. They are fixed at the reached borders — General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Army spox: Russians retreating as their defense lines breached in Zaporizhzhia sector

According to the 46th brigade, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have solidified their positions near the second line of defense in the vicinity of Verbove and are awaiting the counterattack of the enemy.

Russian source Wargonzo: " #Ukraine troops with powerful artillery support are trying to break through the forest plantation bypassing Novoprokopivka via the east and Verbove via the west. For the #RussianArmy there is a retreat to the next line of defence."
