Then the tanker is useless for a good long time and will take a lot of resources to repair.

Well, Ukraine did have a terrible reputation for corruption - cf Hunter Biden - so it would be unrealistic to think all these crooks were suddenly smitten with idealistic nationalistic fervour. It's much more likely - as evidenced here - that they rubbed their hands and thought " wow, so many more money-making opportunities " ! Hopefully these will attract very long jail-terms and confiscation of assets.

Looks like the assault on Robotyne is progressing well, as reports are showing the Ukrainian’s are in the centre.

I totally agree with him, the German state and the GDR absorption was wrong, Russia should actually recognise the German territories further back in time, in fact all the way back to the gates of what was Leningrad and now is Saint Petersburg ..

This is just tragic on so many levels that an innocent of that age should be so aware.

Russian media say that the Kremlin regime is thinking of closing some or even all Moscow airports "for several weeks with subsequent prolongation" due to the terrorist threat (drones and, allegedly, in the short term, the possibility of strikes by long-range missiles…

Reportedly, this issue seems to be very painful for the Presidential Administration, FSB and the Russian government. It may unpredictably affect public mood, cause reputational losses of the inoperative air defense forces, and inflict financial losses - the regime's primary concern.

Allegedly, the Russian ministry of defense considers the closure of civilian skies as an unpleasant, but not a catastrophic event within the logic of war.

The ministry of defense believes the closure of airports will cause an increase in patriotic sentiments and demands to strengthen military escalation. They think that the situation may cause the military to use those types of weapons against Ukrainian facilities that have not been used so far.

Evidently, Solovyev don't "do irony"

As a permanent resident of Italy, with two properties on Lake Como, one would think that he would be a little more balanced on his propaganda, but then apparently, propaganda pays rather well.

In the meantime they’ve pulled all the VDV units out to reinforce other parts of the front…

Russia’s control on the left bank of Dnipro in Kherson is crumbling fast as Ukrainian SOF teams operate deep in the rear. Here, in a video released by Sobchak, troops of Battalion 1822 raised in Moscow say they’ve lost 40% of their men in two weeks.

Why? British Royal Marines come from civi street and enlist to become Marines, what’s the difference? Same with the Para’s, it is only the SAS etc I believe that tend to recruit from within.

Though this infers they were training Ukrainian Marines in a skill set.

In the meantime what actually happened to…

Igor Strelkov: Moscow targets a pro-war Russian who criticised Putin

Igor Strelkov raged against Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in the wake of the Wagner mutiny, and could now face years in jail for ‘extremism’.

Hmmm, isn't that one of those from a couple of weeks ago? turret has same direction, burn marks on the same part of the tank and environment also seems to be similar.
