Ukraine has announced temporary safe routes to allow those freighters caught up in Ukrainian ports that were not covered by the grain deal to depart.

That has got to be a good sign of growing confidence that Ukraine can deal with anything the Russian navy can chuck at them.

Russian wounded basically dumped at the side of the runway due to the morning flight being cancelled and having to lie out under the sun with no food and little water until 8pm.

Russian tanker Sig, which was hit by a drone boat recently. Apparently frequently used for the transfer of aviation fuel.

Film of the damage / hole in the side of the Sig Russian oil tanker..

Although a different view about the same as Wokka’s so have taken my link down.

I take it hitting it there is because all of the weight is aft, so you do not penetrate the tanks but structurally weaken the hull with the weight of the aft end working in your favour?

I’m losing track of how many they’ll end up operating…

BREAKING:

Poland announces that its buying another 22 (it previously bought 4 for anti-submarine warfare) AgustaWestland 101 medium-lift helicopters.

The 22 new AW101 helicopters will complement the 32 AW149 that Poland is also buying

Poland is also buying 96 AH-64 Apache

Quite a bad area to hit on a tanker as it's normally where the cargo pumps and valve spaces are. Generally it's not viable to repair, all that's left is a dumb barge where it's difficult to discharge or load fuel. There were a couple of tankers in the Gulf with Exocet damage similar to this and waiting to be scrapped at the time. Structurally there's a lot of buoyancy left due to tanks, keel and main deck girders still being intact, but it's useless as a tanker. Nice bit of work by the drone.

The Russian Olenegorsky Gornyk on the dry dock showing the area of the damage.

In theory the damage would be to port, on the side. You can see a scaffolding and an area that could be affected

Coincidence? (Includes video)

⚡️Warehouses with grain are burning in the French port of La Rochelle, – local authorities.

The fire engulfed four grain storage facilities of Sica Atlantique with 300,000 tons of grain.

La Rochelle is one of the largest French grain export terminals….

I wonder if Solovyov is having cash flow problems and is finding the Ruble is worth less than sheets of toilet paper, still he is lucky having invested wisely in some Italian villas……. Ohh wait, they no longer belong to him
