No doubt they are operating on the rules of no firing into Russia, as the next ideal target would have been the factory unit at the far end that constructed the bridge sections and the previous repairs.

The fleet in Sevastopol would also be a nice target, especially when rearming.

But can they not hit targets in Russia if not using weapons provided by the west?

Clear on Google Earth that the road bridge is to the north. And also from the posted videos that the piers under the road spans don’t look like the ones in this drawing.

Their army commander confirmed that this week, but they don't have any long-range Ukrainian ground-to-ground , or air-to-ground weaponry, although some is in development.

Si if I am reading this video correctly it is both lanes effected, one had dropped and the other has too, the start is looking at the damage to the far lanes of the bridge then as it scans across to the other two lanes you can see they have dropped as well at 11 secs onwards.... outstanding, Russia is claiming it was a surface drone.

Additional footage.

Double Crikey! I think he is dead..I suppose the amount of lead chucked in its general direction was for possible troops in the back. Just as well it does not appear to be hauling ammo.

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation reported the murder of the leader of the Transnistrian Communist Party, Oleg Khorzhan, on July 17 in his home.

Well, things do not seem to be quite so clear-cut. Why on earth would these 'assassins' want to get rid of an opposition figure too?

Whether or not it's true that they are advancing, that video looks very much like a fake.

Whoever took the footage finds it highly amusing.
Evidence of local opposition following that crash into an apartment building last year?

On 17 October 2022, a Sukhoi Su-34 from the airfield accidentally struck an apartment building in Yeysk, killing at least 13.

Usual caveats apply (pro-Russian poster) - claim UK tech was used in the bridge attack.

In case anyone was worried about Russian tourists unable to make it for their Crimean vacations on time, RIA News is reporting that;

“Tourists who are late to arrive at vacation destinations in Crimea will be refunded, and there will be no fines for being late, RIA News was told by the Russian Union of Tourism Industry.

According to the association, about 20,000 vacationers are expected to come to the peninsula in the coming days.”
