Suspect the CAA could take a slightly jaundiced view if it came to the UK!

Think there was a private example flying in Norway recently... sure I saw a video on YouTube.

There was although, private is a slight stretch of the ownership, as it is owned by the RNAF Museum at Bodo, and was rebuilt by former RNAF F-104 personal, so while civvie registered, there is a strong link to the RNAF.
However, it hasn't flown for a couple of years now and there is supposedly some bang seat issues that need addressing before it flies again. Covid probably reduced the urgency for that, plus the TP that first flew it post restoration, and I think flew it most of the time when it did fly, was Eskil Amdal who last year suffered several broken vertebrae when he was flying the Sea Fury T.20, and was forced to put it into a field after the engine failed near Duxford, which may or may not mean his days of flying an older type bang seat could be over.

Yeah, I should have said civvy rather than private! Hope Eskil has made a good recovery but having damaged his back in such a manner...

Is it an F-104 or a TF-104? Edit: Two seater!

If you are still with us, Wholigan, you might have actually flown this wee beastie - so I am in for £100 if you are looking for help to buy it.

I never flew the 104 properly - but I did sandbag one ride in the back of one, so I am all for a syndicate if you are the designated driver!

Ex-Mud-Mover might join us as well.......

It was initially RCAF and then transferred to RNorAF in '73 (it says here!)
