At a set of lights, RTA?

Correction:
Big crater in the road and it says she was blown up. That is telling Russians such as Oligarchs, senior officials processing the war and those state tv reporters, NO one is safe..

That young lady has more integrity and fortitude than the rest of the Russian Govt. She, and the continued resistance to the govt are a glimmer of light in the darkness that encompasses Russia.

Sounds like a recall needed for Toyota Prado's.

One wonders why she was on the sanctions list and had been for many years in some moderate countries, until you catch her viewpoints under her name of Darya Platonova, which expouse the view of her father in all aspects. The term multi polar is used to cover belligerent behaviour against neighbours, while railing against the wests "hegemony", she proposes that Russia should be the centre of a super Eurasian empire, which seems right in line with the "colonialism" that she describes Europe and the rest of the world as being. On dissent in Russia, her comment is straightforward, in a time of was there is only room for unity, dissent needs to be [stamped out] (her description of that is too annoying to state verbatim).

I do hope that Russia can get on top of the Toyota recall items, I suspect that MB 600's need a recall too.

As far as sending flowers and tributes, there are around 50,000+ Ukrainians that didn't ask to be made dead, and probably 3 times that who have their lives catastrophically altered by M. Putin, who has apparently been an avid reader of Professor Dugin's works, extolling the virtues of a world answering to the Kremlin. Add to that a shade under 50,000 Russian "conscripts" including an assortment of press-ganged Donbassians, and others, and by the looks of it, around another 150,000 Russians that will need help for the rest of their lives, and the obscenity of the actions of Russia that flow from the pages of Dugin's work seems to counterpoint an avoidable tragedy. The other 300,000+ people that have had their lives irrevocably altered, and the 6 million odd that have been evacuated, they get first pick for sympathy. I've never been a fan of the Domino theory, and much of the international relations seems to be discordant to all concerned, but the concept of Russia as a central figure for the good of the world in general seems to at least help in the current global shortage of manure.

Vlad can always return to pre 2014 lines, take his trash with him, and pay for the breakages. After all, a country like Russia, with virtues extolled by Darya's dad and by Darya's dads daughter Darya would naturally comply with dignity and honour to their agreements such as the Alma-Ata Protocols of 8 Dec 1991. Of course they would! It's implied in the magnanimous and inclusive character of Russia that Dugin expouses. Surely it wouldn't be merely propaganda?

Seriously though, Toyota's have on occasion caught fire all by themselves, this has a slim chance that it was an MVA, it is not likely that foreign imports are being kept in the best condition within Russia at present. Holes in the road would suggest otherwise.

aviation content: bits of that car certainly went flying...

Sorry for the aviation content. An interesting video about the S400 system. I have no way to parse the accuracy of the video, but it had a lot of interesting information about radars et al if true. Worth a watch I think.

It would seem she was a chip off the old block and as nasty a piece of work as her father, certainly bad enough to be on the UK Sanctions List and that seems to take quite of bit doing.

As for the Toyota going boom, perhaps she was swigging vodka whilst smoking a cigarette . Cigarettes seem to be causing a lot of "accidental fires in Russia at the moment

Logic would be that she is made a martyr and used to justify a more stringent mobilization.

They swopped cars apparently, I read it somewhere, so it was intended for the father.

That is a risk, oddly similar to the consequential risk of firing PGM's at a sovereign nation, murdering unarmed civilians, using CBU's, indiscriminate area attacks of non military targets, generally doing the mayhem and destruction that passes within Russia as "help".

Here's the thing though, a cynic would not put it past the GRU, or FSB to have done this, in order to give a justification for Putin to start getting some Moscuvies and St Pete's finest youngsters to join the gang that couldn't shoot straight. I would rate that at the highest level of probability, somewhere lower would be a vehicle defect, and well below that any action by SBU.

Ask the question, "cui bono?"

Ukraine to date has acted with restraint and care, this has all the hallmarks of the gang that couldn't shoot straight, the guys who in 1999 probably bombed 2 of their own apartment blocks to give a justification to give power to.... Putin!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia...tment_bombings

The facts of the matter remain that she is no more, Russia remains an invading country, and the #200's and #300's continue to add up back home in the predominately poor and eurasian ethnic areas of the Federation. How long until the usury by Moscow and St Petes becomes intolerable to the ethnic groups that have been the recipient of the care that Putin has brought about? The last time imperialism was this confronting in Russia it ended with a bit of a tiff, from 1917 onwards to 1924, and then on and off through to 1991.

My money is on this being an inside job, and making a point to Putin or from Putin, using the FSB/GRU. It is in keeping with a country that loves Novachok, Polonium, shooting native reporters etc.

Nutloose comments that the traffic was stopped they sw[a]pped cars before the blast.... that pretty much points to the FSB/GRU more than any spec ops from the SW. A message from Putin or to Putin, time will tell.

fdr I find your posts factual and fascinating with your grasp of Russian history and nuance. Thank you for your posts. I'm curious as to how you have such a grasp of Russian history. Can you elucidate? I'm not asking for a reveal of who you are, but I appreciate your depth and wonder where that knowledge came from. No need to answer but please continue to do what you are doing as I am learning things.
