One of the problems we had in Masirah was obtaining (after about six pints) paint and brushes to paint squadron numbers on the shells of the turtles whilst they were laying their eggs!
Also this got in the way of the Arab kids, with their plastic buckets, who were ‘stealing’ the eggs nearly as fast as they were being laid.
(No, I never did have scrambled, fried or poached turtle egg)

"Mildly" Eccentric Stardriver
Scrambled turtle egg was OK ish (Riyan '67) At least it was fresh. Regarding Masirah, the best thing ever to come out of it was a westbound Hercules.
