Breaking news - SAR in progress. Let's hope for the best for the crew.
Update: 5 persons in the water 18 miles off coast. USCG fast response boat and cutter en route.

Water off of the VACAPES is a bit chilly in this season, hope they have their drysuits/wet suits on ... *fingers crossed*

Update from USN
MH-53E made an emergency water landing - 5 x POB.
Lift raft was dropped from a 2nd MH-53E nearby.
One of the 4 taken to hospital now confirmed dead - RIP.
Two others in stable condition and one requiring surgery.
Search continues for one crew member still unaccounted for.
Thoughts with family and colleagues.
