Thanks, Akula - and to you and everyone else too!

Best Happy Christmas story I ever heard came from the diplomatic service. At some embassy Christmas p*ss-up in Mother Russia, some drunken partygoer announced "And a Happy Christmas to all our friends of the KGB who are listening!"....

A few seconds later:

Ring, ring.

"Hello?"

"Iss KGB - Happy Christmas to you too... CLICK!"

Merry Xmas.

And thanks to those in theatre at this time, we do recognise, more than ever the sacrifices made at this time of year.

Hear-hear. Have a lot of empathy with that statement.

Merry Christmas one and all.

Merry Merries to all; and to those working at home or away - Thank You. Stay safe!

PS, My uncle tells a most amusing dit from when he was a National Serviceman in Cyprus back in the day doing some listening - and on Christmas Eve our Russian friends evidently transmitted some carols in English for "ze sake of all our listeners!"

I'm not a military man but I've spent many Christmas's away from home so I can relate to one aspect of your lives; to all UK & coalition forces anywhere in the world: Merry Christmas and (hopefully) a safer New Year! (and thanks, too).

The first batch of Xmas present ripping has now been completed; lots of scabby looking ones left - the next tranche of openings will be compulsary.

Merry Xmas all, especially to those away from friends and loved ones. Stay safe.
