When I came to 25 stations for Gp Capts I discounted Upper Heyford, RMB Chivenor, etc...

I think 'St Mawgan' red dot is Chivenor.
Not unless it's moved a long way from North Devon.... Anyway, the RAF website's 'clickable map' identifies this 'RAF flying station' as 'RAF St. Mawgan'....

Mind you, any website which still talks about things which 'will happen in 2008' can't really be considered serious!

That map is well out of date!

Rumour!

The Jungle Drums are beating that there were just 30 Flying Branch Sqn Ldrs up for promotion from this week's promotion board - less than half of the traditional "norm" (around 65).

Anyone "on the list" or aware that can confirm this number?

Sounds correct - if the rumours are true then there are none on the list from the secret Wiltshire airbase.
