I read with interest the article on defence-data.com stating that the Germans are messing up the A400m again!. .Below is a transcript of that text stating the drastic measures that the UK is prepared to resort to due to lack of funding too;
The admission from Rudolf Scharping, the defence minister, that Berlin cannot make a watertight legal commitment to provide the £5. 1 billion for 73 German aircraft has left the other EU nations involved in the project uncertain whether to press ahead. The UK is the most likely to jump ship as it has already expressed an interest in Boeing's rival transport the B-17.
I knew things were bad, but really, the prospect of buying old WW2 bombers is a little drastic!!
