Red face Bad Cranwell Attitude

Recently (well last year sometime) spoke to RAF people at Cranwell regarding a possible transfer from army to Airforce.

The following response was one of many But the one which really hit the spot with regard to people's attitude!

Quote RAF Chappy "well we do have a problem with a lot of you army guys due to your colour perception"

My Reply "Well why's that"

Raf Chappy "Because the aircraft we have in the Air Force have these warning panels fitted which tell us when the aircraft has a malfunction and you army types haven't always got the right colour perception to recognise the right warning"

My reply "Really and what do we fly? in fact dont answer that, you are the weaket link goodbye!"

He had also prattled on before that about army guys being too aggressive, overweight, blind and as deaf as a post! God help the Apache programme! <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

Exclamation

I should point out that the above conversation was with the department at cranwell which deals with transfer applications and the like.

They also quoted the following "were not upbeat about you army guys, in fact you probably will not get accepted unless your a qhi"

We just dont seem to get any quality from the Army!

Angry

Fortunately the knackered old fart who used to deal with transfers has slung his hook....to say he was unhelpful is an understatement...I know he had a job to do, but........Still hope springs eternal for future branch changes......not!

I'm sorry to say I have never met an RAF pilot who I trusted. I think mutley4 you should stay where you are, at least you won't get stabbed in the back.
