PAS Application Form

Anyone know where I can get the PAS Application form. I had one last year, which was rejected unfortunately, but have lost my copy owing to the computer virus thingy.

Assuming the 'P' stands for 'Police' and not 'Professional' then I assumed that you needed to be able to operate sticks, pedals and levers to get a job. If this is not the case, and you are not required to be an already serving 'Constable', then that is good news, and Good Luck with your application.

Admin_Guru,

I think he is referring to the PA Spine rather than Police Aviation Services.

Life is good, but busy now (much too busy for PA like me, though!).

I can't believe you've been offered Prince Charles' Equerry..!

Take care mate - call me if you need air and I'll do what I can!

You don't apply for PAS - you are boarded in much the same way as promotion. The assimilation board sits right after the promotion board - if you have jumped through the promotion hoops, and are assessed as above average, but don't quite make the grade then you should be presented to the PAS board. First look normally at age 35/36 with an offer usually at age 37 ish.

With the current MOD and public sector pension budget problems the rumour is that PAS offers will be halved in the next 2 years and a new pension (AFPS 10) will be introduced.

Good luck - you can always get your boss to put some pressure on ACOS Manning for a spec PAS board.

AFPS 10
Who would even consider accepting a pension plan adjustment proposal in the present economic climate offered by a bankrupt government.

They are wasting their time; and millions of taxpayers dosh even considering it.

New entrants who don't have a choice, I suspect.

Not if you're already promoted and beyond your IPP...
