More money to improve retention in the armed forces

I just read this story on the BBC website - Recruitment age for the Army raised .

At the bottom of the first paragraph they say that on "Friday [yesterday] the MOD said it was spending more money to improve retention in the armed forces."

Really? Anyone heard anything - or is it 'more money' that was actually announced some time ago?

So the families accommodation at Brize will be improved then????

Is that where the money will go to assist in retaining service folk?
