Was quite glad to read he endured pain, his speeches, his life was always leading to this.
Now get Bin Liner... but please get him alive. He dies he is a martyr, he lives we can sit him by Saddam and all laugh.
That is the only thing these people understand. Stop killing them, keep them alive.
Better still behead them..... in public. then they may listen... but probably not.
Brave men we had in GW1 and the party afterwards.
I hope history agrees.

Whilst I have real no problem with the way this scumbag was despatched, like a few brave enough to post on here and face some pretty hostile Prune responses I would have much preferred we take this man alive and hand him over to the Iraq's for some of their "justice"
Some have stated that operationally taking him alive was way too difficult, local support, well protected, mobile phone network yadda yadda so attempting to spread him over a grid square was the only available option
What confuses me though is if this was the case how come the good guys were able to arrive before he even had time to utter his last breath, photograph and publish pictures of him as a corpse and gather all the intel that is now being reported....... completley unopposed
The world is without doubt a better place not having this barbarian amongst us however I believe using a conventional justice system where possible is a much more meaningfull option than simply blowing the sh1t out of the bad guys cos thats wot they do to us.

That is it then. It was a clear case of a fire fight and resisting arrest; it was not an assasination.

As I predicted at the outset, questions would be asked and at least we discussed it on Pprune BEFORE the talking heads.

It would seem that you are, indeed, from a different planet. Whilst the baying on the website is perhaps a little over the top, some of it is at least understandable and since you agree that a-Z deserved 'to be brought to account for his crimes' it would suggest that we are somewhat on the same wavelength...you have problems with the means of his dispatch...well, I'm sorry about that and hope that perhaps you would like to advance your solution (if, indeed, you have one). Would you not agree that a-Z was too big a 'prize' to be allowed to escape. It is sad that a child died in the attack but I do have to ask you whose fault you consider it to be....the pilots involved were not aware of a child...I am certain of that! The fact that the five people allowed a-Z into their home....probably even welcomed him makes them equally culpable and the fact that they had a child in their home at the same time when they must have known that by having a-Z with them made them a grade A target as well makes them blameworthy...no, I suggest the blame for the death of the five shold be laid at their own doorstep. The death of the child, any child, is tragic but no amount of handwringing and foot shuffling will bring it back As for do we ever learn...the question might equally be asked of the opposition...your reply regarding his capture and how it should have been accomplished should be interesting.
