208 Squadron 90th Anniversary

208 Squadron celebrates its 90th anniversary with a mass graduation at RAF Valley on 2nd June 2006, and a 208 Squadron Association dinner in the RAF Club in London on 28th October.

As part of the celebrations, a Squadron yearbook is being produced to reflect on the Squadrons exploits. Whilst the students (and staff...) are continually providing us with memorable dits, we are keen to hear from former Squadron members with their own stories of heroism and catastrophe from 'the good old days'.

Please post below, alternatively contact Flt Lt James Copple, 208 Sqn, RAF Valley. Tel: 01407 762241 ext 7603, E mail: [email protected]

Thanks Rigga, but we are trying to reach all ex-208 Sqn personnel regardless of ac type. Clearly the Buccs are very important to us, however we seek a wider audience.

Moderator - can we make this a sticky until 1 June please?

My dad (208 SQN 1950s Cyprus) is unable to attend. He lives in Oz.

Thanks anyway.

Enjoy your thrash

Thanks for the replies. We are missing considerable amounts of Sqn history from Op GRANBY. If anyone can send details it would be of great interest. Additionally, any other period would be welcome. We want to celebrate the whole of 208 Sqn/Naval 8's history. Bring it on!
