IIRC et al
OK, I give up. I can figure out most abbreviations on these forums (or is that fora?) but I admit defeat to IIRC. I will be blindingly obvious when someone translates....
Anyone else got abbreviations that they don't undersatnd now that I've bitten the bullett, swallowed the pride and opened the topic?

Commonly asked questions.
The use of abreviations date from the earliest e-mails pre-internet, but are now more commonly used in mobile phone text messages.
See here for a comprehensive list!!

Thanks, Speed 12 - I just knew it would be blindingly bleeding obvious!
TG - excellent link, thank you. Perhaps the MODS might think that the link would be useful as a sticky for others who come across abbreviations that baffle or mystify???
