Air Southwest

Anybody know what is happening at the new airline Air Southwest.

I understand the company is going to operate out of Plymouth using ex-BA Citiexpress Dash 8-300's.

Are they taking on ex BA crews or looking to recruit?

Check the banner advert right here on PPRuNe and follow the link - sure looks like they're recruiting to me!

Although '1000 hours multi crew preferred' ... the million dollar question will be, I wonder if there's still many people with those kind of hours still sitting about unemployed? Got to be a few less than there was 18 months ago, anyway

Question who is the incharge of pilot recruitment

Hi
Could anyone tell me who is the person incharge of pilot recruitment.
I have turboprob experience with 1000+hrs and emailed my CV, just wondering the name of the person doing recruitment and any more news of how many Dash 8 will be in service to begin with and the routes will fly.

Doubt there will be anyone with that experience "sitting around unemployed"! But there will be quite a few peeps flying old knackered F27's and Sheds that might just see it is a better situation than they are in just now and so apply. Good thing is for wannabes is that in turn creates jobs further down the food chain... on the old and knackered turbo props...
