Message for Keygrip, Scroggs & WWW

I was wondering if it would be possible for something to be put together under the Wannabes section on the selection process for the CTC ATP Scheme.

I believe there are alot of people out there who would find it extremely useful. There is information available from the search facility but some of this is quite old and I believe the process has changed recently.

The Wannabes section still has info. on the BA and Aer Lingus selections so it really would be nice to get some topics more relevant to today's wannabes.

I have been given some details by some other extremely helpful ppruners and would be more than happy to pass it on to you.

Cheers,

Perhaps the moderators should contact some ex CTC cadets..... and find out a bit?

Well firstly that old old stuff on BA and Aer Lingus selection in the Wannabes homepage page needs to be shifted off to the PPRuNe Museum its so dusty and old. So ignore that.

We are not going to officialy go about assembling a guide to a particular assessment centre like CTC:

a) It would annoy them and attract a complaint

b) They would simply change things on a regular basis to frustrate our efforts

We can leave threads standing or place them in the archive that cover peoples experiences with CTC selection. Indeed, such threads are most welcome.

As for the Mods actively seeking information - I'm sorry but we all have very full time jobs and we just ain't got the time.

Cheers,

Ideas, input and feedback are always most welcome.

If someone - perhaps a Wannabe with some spare time - wants to use the PPRuNe forum to encourage and gather a resource of CTC related information then we'll happily encourage that.

Some years ago now I wrote an expose in quite detailed detail about the BA selection process at Meadowbank as was. This stemmed from me going through the procedure and then immediately posting what happened and how. I suggested strategies and pointed out pitfalls - all with the caveat that I ultimately didn't pass.

If people are willing to do the same now with the CTC scheme then all applicants will get a very good picture of what to expect and how to prepare.

At the time this infuriated the people who ran the BA Cadet scheme as it was the A New Thing - this interweb jobby. They even went to some lengths to identify me.

This really wouldn't be the case now. Everybody in the industry knows PPRuNe exists and therein lies Wannabes. It is quite safe to post your experiences and if you do so then there really would be no reason for us at HQ ever to disclose registration details.

So all we need now is someone to start the snowball running...

I would be more than happy put something together on the scheme but I am still at the very early stages myself. If I do manage to proceed to the later stages I will make notes on the timescales, the order of the assessments and what they contain.

Until that time if anyone has any current information on the scheme then please email me.

Cheers,

two speed prop 3,

Friendly advice: I am pretty certain that your profile (if accurate) makes you easily identifiable from your application form. It's probably quite unwise to pursue this so overtly whilst you are seeking selection yourself. ...

I see where you are coming from and thanks for the advice.

However, I didn't end up taking the job refered to in my personal profile and I have since moved so I doubt if I could be identfied unless CTC hire hackers.
