Covering Letters
Hi
I was wondering of anybody who has got a job recently would care to post a copy of their covering letter and perhaps CV?
Obviously the names could be changed to protect the guilty, but an idea of the content/style would be interesting.
Cheers

"I refer to the recently advertised vacancy for xxxxxx at xxxxxx.
I consider that I have the qualifications, tenacity and experience to undertake the demands of the post, and would like to be considered for the position.
You will note from my CV, which I have enclosed/attached, that I am a team player, who takes pride in delivering the highest standards and enjoys the challenges of working under pressure.
My experience and professionalism would be a positive asset to your organisation, whilst also allowing me to fulfill my ambitions to succeed at the highest level.
I am available for interview or discussion at any mutually convenient time and I look forward to hearing from you"
1) You may wish to alter the above slightly, but it's a text book covering letter.
2) Ensure that your CV is no more than 2 pages long, and contains relavant information with no waffling, wherever possible, get someone else to check it over. Remember that whoever you are sending the application to reads hundreds of them each year, and yours has to be the one that stands out and says "employ me! ".
3) Good Luck
