Upilot is more relaxed environment. General flying techniques and how to treat the flight and the emergencies, they know little about Ryanair. Additionally, I would say that the sim instructor was just a pilot (experienced) while in AFA was an actual instructor.

Of course, you don’t need to know about RYR SOP’s in order to pass the assessment but for the time and the amount of money you spent, it is good to have an extra taste of Ryanair.

Don’t get me wrong, I failed while attending AFA, I passed while attending Upilot. Upilot has the potential to become a great center in the future.

The above is just my personal experience.
Thank you for the feedback!

May I ask you what is the reason you failed the first assessment? I will do both Upilot and AFA to be extra prepare

Hi Hublot.
I’m Raffaele and I’m rated on 737. I just received an email for the assessment in September.
please could you help me about the online AON (Cut-E) tests?
if I understood for the rated first Officer, I only have to pass:
1) spatial orientation;
2) fly through the tube;
3) multitasking tests (landing the plane, mats and double);
4) personality tests.
Not online interview, right.
Thank in advance for your reply.
regards
raffaele

Honestly speaking, I was not ready to pass. I was not as prepared as I had to be.
Also during the asssesment my couple pilot (monitoring) already had experience on ATRs so I would say we were not in the same page. Communication and interaction was not good.
The second time I was better prepared and concentrated.
BTW, for the technical interview, apart from the general theory make sure you also know by heart your MEP and SEP aircrafts. (I was asked lot about my SEP).
Good luck

When you say know "your" MEP and SEP, do you mean the one we have been training flying on before the assessment?

Yes, your single engine and multi engine birds during your training.

Also I got technical questions about 737 (e.g. hydralics systems and what governs each system). So take a look also there.

Guys, does anyone know what should I do ?

I have a question regarding the requirement for two references. After finishing school I started a business ( almost 10 years ago) and have been running it until today, I have never been employed in a traditional job. I'm unable to obtain references from schools as they are not operational during the summer break. What should I do in such a situation?

Thank you in advance

Wait till they are back from break again. The worst part in joining Ryanair, was that reference bull****. It took ages and you only get an ID with all references contacted by them and all the backround checks. Some waited 2,5 months for their ID...

Yes, but I don't want to be rejected in Bergamo, just because I don't have all documents that there require, as they provided this information earlier. I don't think it's a BIG DEAL, but maybe they do... I have no IDEA, don't know what to do.

Just send an email to Ryanair explaining and asking for guidance.

For the assesment you need a flight school report and 2 referencea that know you for more than 5 years ( not family). That is enough. Work or education releated stuff you do at the beginning of the typrating.

Don’t pay to work at Ryanair, there are far better options out there currently!

hey guys, anyone know how much do they care about the original documents? One of the documents Im supposed to take for the assessment is a PDF file of the original document, but not the original document itself. Do you think it's ok if I take a copy of this PDF file or do you think they will notice it's not the original and won't accept it?

Employment history, do they actually ask for previous employer to give you a reference?
