Driving offence.

Hi guys.

Can someone tell me if driving offences can affect employment possibilities? And what exactly is a driving offence? I once received a fine for speeding but as I paid within the notice period it didn't get registered. Recently was caught on the mobile and lost points on my driving licence along with a fine. Would these be considered a driving offence or is it something much worse?

Thanks.

Those are fixed penalties and not likely to be of interest.

Consider what you would be interested in as an employer that might have some direct bearing on whether you would trust someone with one of your multi-million pound assets - such as drink driving, dangerous driving etc

Get a print out of your criminal record from your local authorities.

If its says nothing on it you are in the clear.

In the UK most driving offenses don't come up but some do eg dinking and driving and other serious ones. SP30's which are the speeding fines don't come up.

These won't be a problem, although you shouldn't make a habit of it as a driving ban will show up on your records should you exceed your license points limit. Stay off your phone when driving and try not to get caught speeding.

I would also assume it wouldn't be a factor, however, I have seen cadet programmes which demand a clean driving license, for example:

West Atlantic Airlines Cadet Pilot Flight Training Scheme | Multiflight
