FTO Time

Just wondering if anyone knew if the airlines will give you any credit for flight time as as Flight Test Observor/ Flight Test Engineer; obvioulsy it isn't "loggable" and wouldn't count towards your total flight time as a pilot, but it is a flight crew experience. Would airlines view this as favourable experience?

Or would I be better off going back to a job which would allow me to instruct on a more frequent basis and concentrate on building my hours through flight instruction.

Many thanks for the advice.
