Interview stuff
Hey all,
I'm interested in knowing what the most common "drunk captain" questions are and what, in your opinion, is the best answer to them.
I know that the drunk captain question itself already has been dealt with here but there must be other examples of this sort of questions.

Re: Job interview questions
I would like to know a little more about your motivation for asking such a question. Any mention of alcohol and flying on Pprune raises my suspicions about the person asking the question; too often we are infiltrated by journalists attempting to find a sensational quote for another aviation-bashing story - "Professional pilots' site reveals more 'drunk pilot' information..."

Re: Job interview questions
Clearly I'm looking for this information in order to prepare for job-interviews... I thought that was obvious from the question.
Anyway, what sort of questions can one expect on an interview (apart from the imfamous drunk captain question)?

Re: INterview section???
I assume you mean the old Archive? No, I don't know where it's gone - it's not in the new Archive (see the bottom of every page). I'll check with Danny!

Interview stuff
I know this has been asked before in many formats, but the search function does not seem to be locating the threads I’m looking for?
I am looking for information on general pilot interview questions, not company specific, and not the silly ones like, "what would you do if your captain came to your room in a dress"?
I seem to remember a good thread a while back involving some BA questions?
All and any would be a great help, thanks!

I think alot of common questions are the 'when have you been in a situation of conflict/animosity/controversial etc and how did you deal with it'
Of course ' why do you wan to work in this airline'
Is there a relation to men wearing dresses and the South Coast!!!!

Interview stuff
Can anyone recommend a good interview coach in the midlands?
Was thinking of Penny Austin but it would be a bit easier (and cheaper) to find someone a little closer to home.
TIA.

Having spent 10's of thousands on training I would pay the extra in time and travel expenses to see Penny. You do not get many shots at interviews and selections and she really was excellent. Have used her techniques in 2 selections now and been successful in both. If you have a interview coming up go to see Penny, you will not regret the extra money.

Bugz,
I went to AOT (Airline Orientation Training) who run a 2 day interview and selection preparation course at Market Bosworth near Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Had a really good couple of days, a bunch of really kind, helpful airline Captains (present and retired) who are also involved in selection. They also offer a CV critique service, although with online applications becoming the norm this is becoming less useful.
If all you want is a one on one single day assessment they'll also be able to help you. Get in touch and see what you think. www.aotraining.net
