LOT

LOT is looking for aprox 20 Pilots now, with Eurolot taking in whatever they can find. Normally from eurolot you progress to lot, but due to the shortage, they are taking guys off the street now. Some expansion plans are in the air but nothing very firm at present. Lots are leaving Eurolot for Wizz or a contract in Ireland, and about 5 have handed their resignation letters in at LOT, also leaving for likes like Wizz. need to know any more????
Cheers

From what's written in the Papers, you need to know Polish fluently, I believe reading and writing as well.

Just wondering If a stand a chance with Lot. I was born in Poland lived in the Chicago land area for the last 20 years. I have 2000 tt 1000 jet in the EMB-145. I've worked for American Eagle for the last 1.5 years. So what would be my first step. Try applying with euro lot or lot or is it the same company. My polish is pretty good I struggle a bit with reading and can't write but that shouldn't be a problem as I could learn prior to any interviews. Any info would be gratefully appreciated. And any one what the pays like at either company. Thx in advance

I think with your experience you have a very good chance, with the hours you have you good probably good directly to LOT. But before you can apply you have to change your lisence over to the JAA, you have to write the 14 exams and here is the rest:
Holders of Overseas ATPL/IR to JAA/FCL ATPL/IR with more than 1500 hours and 500 hours multi-crew experience

Sufficient Ground Training at a JAA Approved ground school to satisfy the Chief Instructor that the candidate has achieved a standard that will enable him/her to be successful in the subjects undertaken. We are happy to recommend Bristol Ground School www.bristol.gs or if you want a residential course, we recommend www.oxfordaviation.net.

For those having more than 500 hours multi-crew experience on a multi-crew simulator or aircraft candidates may elect to be observed by a CAA Flight Operations Training Inspector on the multi-crew aircraft type on which they are rated or follow the courses indicated above for those with less than 1500 hours. For those having less than 500 hours multi-crew experience the licence will revert to a CPL/IR until sufficient hours are obtained. A GFT skill test may be required at the discretion of FCL

The pay for eurolot first officer is 4500 polish zloty
