I don't think he meant in order of registration number. I think he meant in order of recieving the completed application. I think the reg number was assigned to you when you first logged on to the site to look at the application form. Looks like I still got quite a wait then!!
Time to hook into that instructor rating and spend some more money!!!

I spoke to citiexpress at the balpa conference. They pointed out that there is no body who's sole job it is to deal with the applications, they all have other HR jobs to do. They have a shortage of staff for the amount of work they have. There is not a particular order to those being selected for interview, because the applications have been spilt up into several piles/personnel. They also have problems organising the chief pilots etc for the interviews because it costs a considerable amount of money to take them off the rota.
They said that it could be 2 days or 2 months, so the message is...Please be patient we are doing our best!
They are nice people trying hard to please everyone.

I received "the email" 25th Sept, but haven't even had a call to interview yet. Is anyone else still waiting? Seeing people who got the email after me and have gone through the mill already is starting to get me worried.

Hear today that the pool could be 6-8 months. 
Longer than I'd like but i'm happy to wait.
Will give me time to concentrate on the instructing and mentally prepare for airline ops.

I would not read too far into this. The job loses might be at out stations or ramp personnel and things of that nature. If they continue to operate then they will need pilots and with the pilots that are leaving then will still need and influx of new ones. Keep your fingers crossed.
Also, I brought this up during my interview and I was told to not belive everything I read. Though my mother always told me not to believe everything I hear........

As far as I am aware, WW is still following the original plan made by his predessor.
For those of you that know your history of BACX you will not be surprised by this(if true). This is what has been taking place for some time. What do you think happens when 4-5 companies join to form one. Do you think that they are going to operate with bases all over the place, do you think they are going to operate with all different aircraft fleets, do you think they are going to operate with maintence at difference bases, do you think that they are going to operate inefficiently. This is Aviation !
