When to start typerating?
If one has decided to sponsor his own typerating, what will be the best time of the year to start the training, regarding the season that many companies start their selection?

Hi,
I would say start the Type Rating in September/October. This should once you have finished give you a good shot at the whole of the winter recruitment for next summer. But whilst training and when you have finished, market yourself hard because noone likes a rated pilot with no hours and a whos been waiting a while since his type rating.
Again as said before by myself and others - watch for sharks and people who say they will almost guarantee you a job!!!
