Space_odyssey,

You appear to be in the know. Are there any openings for an experienced although not current (but then again not many are) Twin Pin F/O from the antipodes?

Apologies for the slightly cryptic post...

For the benefit of career girl and to counter those who have a downer on Air Atlantique....a few years back I knew a couple of the chaps at Manston. They uniformly loved their working day, and have both moved on to bigger and better things. They did admit that it was a damned hard cadetship, what with the addditional duties outwith the flying. The experience gained (of 'proper flying' if you will admit the usage of such a phrase) was some of the best flying they had done.

As for my CV, well I was too old those few years ago when I expressed an interest in applying for the cadetship scheme and I am not getting any younger now....ho hum.

Keep up the good work!

Space Guy

How long have you been down in Manston? I did the old CPL IR with Atlantic last year. Finished in Mar. Might I know you by any chance?

Calm down sexy!

Threads traditionally get hijacked once they've run their course, particularly with sponsorship threads, people find it easier to pass on more, let's say, 'sensitive' information through emails and Personal Messages.

Check in other threads that have been going as long as this, you will find a large percentage of them do in fact, stray away from the original subject.

I understand where you're coming from regarding Space's self-promotion, but if you see what he does, I think he has a good to case to blow his own trumpet every so often.

How many people do you know who are fixed wing civilian SAR pilots.....?I know two in the whole country.....

Exclamation

Maybe an S, but not the R, not on an Islander! In a previous life I did the R but not the S...

Sexygirl, the industry is really opening up and lots of opportunity will soon be here, hang in there and you will get something really worthwhile...

sexygirl feel free to continue with the same patter .

If you want to be a machine manager carry on. Those of us that fly machines down the airways without an auto pilot REALLY do respect your attitude. And I would really want to work with you honest. But if you just want to do the course and press buttons for a career please don't even attempt to get a job flying machines that need even an attempt at airmanship to drive them down the ILS or god forbided a NDB.

MJ

who really thinks your are daft bint with nae clue

And yes i drive a turbo prop every day at work with no auto pilot , with a few feckups i must admit, depending on the app speed but what the **** shooting the app at 220knts wasn't part of the the IR test and by christ that bar shoots across.

SG

Dont worry about space, he was dropped on his head as a baby. Even if he had started normal 13 months in Manston is enough to drive anyone insane. Still the line do appreciate the quality of aviator that the system produces. Just have to apply some electric shock treatment to bring them back to earth a bit first.

Not sure Mike and James are too bothered about his opinion.

Sweet dreams all

Sexygirl, I am with you!!!

Space....

We want to come on these forums to hear about apprenticeships and the types of flying certain airlines do.

We don't come on here to hear about what a great pilot you are and how you are so "respected" in the aviation world!!??

If you ARE in the know, then your input is greatly appreciated, but please leave out the "I am" speeches, the immature responses and condescending comments and give us some good professional advice.

thanks

SG just be yourself the written medium is never the best to express yourself.

SO is proberly coming across as a fanny just now but in real life he will be ok or they would have dumped him off the fugly scheme.

Go with what feels good for you.

Space,

I've been following this thread for a while now and found it all quite interesting and somewhat amusing. However, I now see that you have deleted all of your previous posts which just goes to prove how full of sh*t you really are and the action also smacks of immaturity on your part.

What's your real story mate?!?!?!?

Why the sudden back down from your previously held points of view?

I don't think it takes the Brain Of Britain to realise that SO's comments are a wind up.

You've clearly fallen for it sexy. Like most comments in aviation, take them with a pinch of salt.

I find it ironic that your original comments were concerned about straying away from the thread's title, and you're making it worse by adding fuel to the fire.

If you're so concerned about SO's comments, send him/her a personal message - you're just wasting time for those who are genuinely intested in the sponsorship (what this thread is about).

Suggest you try the chat forum....

Hi, I`m relatively new to this forum but reading back through all the posts I can`t see what Space_Odyssey has done to upset anybody.

And if 5150 is right with the fact it`s a windup then you`ve all been clearly had !

Im with Space and 5150 on this one and think that the likes of sexygirl should back off. Sexygirl has really insulted herself considering what little experience she has, I thought us girls were a bit more mature than that !

Supergirl,

As you are relatively new to this forum then I think that you are missing the point about what I said above. Space has actually deleted pretty much every post that he put on to this thread and hence you can't see what people are getting wound up about. If you had seen some of the crap that he was coming out with I'm not sure that you would be so quick to write off what he said as a "gotcha".

Well all I can say is that if Space`s intention was to wind you up then he has certainly succeeded !

Well done Spacey, we need more people like you, just wish other people would take a leaf out of your book ! As for sexy and captain fantwatstic, I certainly hope I don`t end up flying with them sitting in the LHS !
