Are there any JAA-rated Americans working in the UK?
I'm an American and have recently moved to Glasgow after marrying a Glaswegian and am in the process of converting my FAA CPL to the JAA frozen ATPL. Does anyone know any (or are there any) JAA-rated Americans working in the UK?
Cheers.

Would only be possible with a FAR operation flying N registered aircraft. The only one I can think of is Atlas who have a few crews at Stanstead, although I think a lot of their work has now been taken over by GSS. There maybe the odd bizjet or multi prop around the UK which is N registered.
Your best bet is to get the JAA licence.

If you hear a "Speedbird" callsign with a big drawl, that will be my mate John. He married an English girl whilst stationed over here at Upper Heyford and has worked very hard to get all his UK licences. I have every respect for all the effort he had to put in to get where he is now. Despite his "protestations", the airlines would not consider the F111 as a twin jet command and I first met him when we flew Senecas for a small charter operation. He fully deserved finally getting into BA as a DEP on the 744 after all his hard work along the way, which I suppose is my rambling way of saying yes there are yanks even at the heart of the Nigel Bastion.
