Be yourself. Think before you talk. Let the 'loudmouth' do his bit for the first couple of minutes, work out something sensible to say before stepping in politely.
Do not interrupt anybody. Involve everyone when you talk using good eye contact. Suggest ways to move forward rather than put someone elses ideas down. Make sure your input is relevant and try to unite the group rather than split it.
Above all, stay cool. Don't argue, lose your temper, bang the table (believe me I have seen all these!) or otherwise give off any negative vibes. Be positive about everything and just politely point out that 'focus' is being lost if someone is waffling! Keep an eye on the time and remember that completion of the task/ problem given to the group is not the key to success. You are being tested for your teamwork and communication skills.
Good luck.
