I should expect they want you to take off for starters and then maybe land the thing for starters! only joking

Most want you to do a sid an ils approach and they will position you for this almost certainly high well above the glideslope seeing if you notice this and obviously get down sharpish to rejoin the glide well before so you can reduce speed. Some ask you to do a NDB hold and approach

No nasty surprises, just keep cool and keep thinking ahead of the game, if you make a mistake forget it and keep looking forward, do not dwell on the past

Don't know when they started using the 1900 - it used to be done on the clockwork 146 at Woodford.

Sim detail is always very straightforward for low experience guys, no such tricks that I've ever heard of as suggested above. The company is also up to it's ears and more with a massive recruitment problem, so stupid tricks serve no purpose when they need new guys.

Expect a thorough brief beforehand with all the other candidates, and the detail will be repeated in the sim with you and your partner each operating as PF and PNF in turn.

Detail most likely along the lines of departure straight ahead with a level off and then further climb. Then turn onto a heading, track into a VOR and out on given radials, vectors for an ILS and land. All done on raw data and hand flown. Expect to be repositioned for another departure, this time for a radar circuit to fly another ILS.

No nasties, no emergencies, just a simple assessment of your basic skills and CRM. Profile may well be flown from 33 at Brum. Seems to be a favourite.

Good luck, and hopefully you would be kind enough to come back with an update for the others as my info is most likely out of date.

From what I understand there is a sim at Farnbourgh they use which I think is the Bombardier one they did use one in Scandinavia a number of years ago

Form what I pick up it is possible your handling of an aircraft not a specific type.

The only aircraft they have as states the Bae146 sim which these aircraft a leaving the fleet and they hope to end up with Dash 400 and the EMB195 although the EMB aircraft are not being delivered as quickly as they would like to replace the Cocq Roach
