Recieved the info regarding sim.
Many thanks it was usefull and gave me a reasonable idea what to expect.
Not sure what the problem is with the P.M's but if it still dosn't work I have P.M'd you my e-mail address so you can send your message if needs be.
As of Friday I'm still waiting to hear from the company, guess it will be next week now.

P.S. If you do P.M me try doing it direct from this thread as I have played around with some of my settings which may account for the problem.

After a very long time without hearing anything, I finally got word from FlyBE. I'm invited for another interview next week in Exeter and a sim session in woodford shortly after (if all goes well). I hope that things will go faster from now, hearing all the possitive rumours.
So if anybody has some advice regarding the interview and simulator session, I would greatly appreciate! Whispering Giant, Jarjam, IMP or anybody else who has attended the interview/sim recently.
Many thanks!

The eternal waiting game
No I am still waiting to hear re interview a couple of weeks ago. I know they are all busy but it is driving me crazy. Some people know immediately and some seem to have to wait for ever, they are probably keeping all their options open
I suppose one of the prerequisites for an airline pilot is patience

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post on the forums after a friend recommended it as a good place to exchange useful info on companies, who's hiring and who's not, and so on.
I have an up and coming interview with Flybe and would be really grateful if anyone could please help me out with what I can expect, tricky questions people have been asked, do's and don'ts, and the level of technical knowledge they have expected so far. Also anything else you have that is of interest. I want to try and make this a positive and hopefully rewarding experience!
I'm hoping to obviously make the sim ride but just want to nail the interview first. I havn't worked out the private messaging yet but bear with me if I'm a little slow getting back to you. Any help is really appreciated.

Happy Bunny
Taday has been a good day, Finaly got the long awaited letter informing me that I have passed sim ride number 2 and I am back in the hold pool (hopefully short term this time).
Hav'nt felt so nervous opening an envelope since I was doing the ATPL exams!
Flybe have informed me that I'm "at the top of the list" for the next course.

Congratulations - you have had to wait a long time for that. Hope they don't put you in the hold pool for too long again. Lucky to be at the top of the list for the next course - would this be the one at the end of Feb or March?
I am still waiting

Currently a dash 8 course running now and apparently there is at least two in March. So JamJar it won't be long before you get the call, good luck and see you on line soon.

Was going to ask that very question myself, i was also wondering how many people are currently in the holding pool for Flybe? Had a nice letter from them this morning saying i had passed the sim and was in the "holding pool", just wondered exactly how big that pool is!

No idea how many people are in the holding pool. On my course there were 10 people, I think the average is 6 - 8 people.
So in my opinion you are looking at around 12 - 20 people to be employed over the next couple of months. I would think that the holding pool wouldn't be able to supply this number, so all in the holding pool should have a good shot at a job fairly soon.
