OAT APP selection process

I will shortly be attending the APP selection marathon at OAT and thought where better to get some valuable info than from the clever people on Pprune.

Firstly, does the online screening simply reject those that do not meet the prerequisite qualifications and age band or do they select only the best applications for each round of interviews?

How many candidates are there on day one and what proportion make it to phases 2 and 3?

In the hope I do make it to Phase two, what do the 'classroom based team activities' involve?

And in the even greater hope that I make it as far as phase three, what type of aircraft is used and what is expected of the candidate in the simulator assessment remembering that they consider those with no flying experience?

Any further pearls of wisdom greatly appreciated, as this is my first selection attempt.

And as an afterthought, if they do have large numbers in day one(those simply meeting the prerequisites), with only a small percentage making it to the further days, could this be considered a money making venture?

Try the CTC McAlpine scheme first - then consider Oxford's APP scheme if you have money to burn.
