CX CADET SCHEME

Gday All,

Everything I have read about the CX Cadet scheme indicates that it is only open to residents/citizens/expats of HK/China.

Some of the CX pilots I have spoken to have indicated the opposite, especially since CX plans to double its airline size by 2005.
Does anyone out there know the truth ?
I am very interested in obtaining a cadetship with a major carrier. Its hard to judge between fact and fiction.
