Renewal of JAR CPL(H) after 4 years
Afternoon all.
I am hoping someone could explain to me what I would need to do in order to renew my licence. It expires next year, and havent flown on it in 4 years or so. I am flying currently on another licence, and hope to go to the UK to renew my JAR.
Is it a matter of a flight test and away I go, or is it more involved than that?
Many thanks

By renewing the licence I presume you are referring to the 5 yearly re-issue. In order to have the licence re-issued you need a valid JAA medical certificate and a type rating that was valid in the previous 5 years; you do not need a current type rating. Fill in the form http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/SRG1102.pdf and send it to Gatwick.
To renew the type rating you will need 2 hours in the relevant type in the previous 12 months plus a licensing proficiency check. LASORS Section F 8.5 http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/Sectio...LICOPTERS).pdf
