Flytaff,

In the early days of the state of Israel, they proposed the "Law of Return", which meant that any Jew who wanted to emigrate to Israel could do so. David Ben Gurion, the Prime Minister, was asked how one defined a Jew. He replied that it was anyone who considered themselves to be one.

Would this definition work for our society too?

Can I join too? I'm not an instructor yet, but will be soon...and living in Chicago I can become a North American alumni. It's a long way from my home town of Neath, but I did win several Eisteddfod prizes years ago, and I also sang with Pavarotti....do I need any other qualifications.....other than the ability to sink a few pints in as many minutes?

Cool

Whirleybird,
the law of return sounds about right for what this Society stands for. Put it this way, It should'nt matter whether you have Welsh blood, where you were born or brought up, work, as long as you have a love for Wales. If you are Welsh, like Rugby, Aviation and drink good beer well that's just a added bonus!!!

Scalet Pimpernel how's it going?? I bet you miss the mountains out their in Norfolk??

Flytaff - yeah, not too bad though. I try and get over to God's country as often as I can...only 20-30 mins to get there!

Biggest thing (and I'm sure you'll agree) is not getting to see live rugby at the Arms Park every couple of weeks - ho hum. How long you been out there anyway?

Scarlet tell me about it, I miss the rugby like hell, at least your not to far away from home!! I've been in the States on and off for 4 years (did all my training in San Diego) and have finally settled down in Saint Louis, Missouri of all places, I'm married to a redhead from Indiana and she aint half bad!! The flying here is good and I'm averaging 100 hrs a month so I should be looking for an airline by July with any luck!!! Talk to yer later,

flytaff

yes i fly from the club with the bar&restuarant overlooking the main runway

i live in llanishen , watch Cardiff RFC now
& again but mostly follow Cardiff City
hence the Bluebird tag.

We got promoted today , but sad to say the jacks got relegated.

fly over the millenium stadium virtually everyday on the trial flights.

it's the best way to watch the rugby!!!

What about a Welsh pilots fly in sometime over the summer?

Could be an excuse for a few dozen jars and some debauched behaviour. Any thoughts?
