fish Which airlines accept applicants with glasses?

Dearest people,

I work as a senior flight attendant for a Dutch airline, where wearing glasses whilst on duty is no problem at all.
I really love my job, but (like a lot of you) I wish one day I could work for an airline like the Emirates or Japan Airlines.
However, they told me that wearing glasses is not allowed at all (only contact lenses).

I really feel sad about this, cause wearing contact lenses never has been successful to me. I'm wondering if there are any other people who have this problem as well.

Are there any other airlines in the world, that accept applicants with glasses?

In Air France you are allowed to wear glasses, although I wouldn't go to an interview wearing it.

=)

Why don't you wear contact lens instead? For some airline, it's not allowed to wear eyeglasses on the recruitment process (maybe contact lens also) but when you work for them you can wear eyeglasses

Cool Emirates .....

In Emirates you are allowed to wear glasses but you have to have a letter from the company doctor allowing you to, due to you not being able to wear contact lenses .

Wow!

Hi Flying Swan,

I'm so delight that you can say "Sawasdee"; the greeting word in thai language. For wearing eyeglasses, you don't worried too much about this matter because you can wear contact lens instead. I cheer you up!

Pam747,
Thank you so much for your informative reply! It really means a lot to me.

Meisu2000,
"Sawasdee" remembers me of a journey 3 years ago, when I visited a family member in Rayong. I like your country very much, it's really beautiful with an interesting culture. Being there alone as a woman, I felt very safe to travel around.
By the way, do you work for Thai Airways?

Dear Flying Swan

Wow! Your family stay at Rayong province? Rayong is a beautiful province near the sea. Rayong is famous for its fruites. Have you ever tried fruits of Rayong province? No..no.. I don't work with Thai Airways International but I do hope to work with them. You know, there is no recruitment new F/A plan for two years. Anyway, this year some newspapers said there wil be the recruitment new F/A within this year. Therefore, I still wait for the great opportunity from TG.

"Sawasdee Ka" Meisu2000,
I will keep my fingers crossed for you, hope one day you will be a Thai Airways International flight attendant!!!!!! Their website is: www.thaiair.com.
(Unfortunately, these family members moved back to the Netherlands some time ago. Anyway, they liked living in Rayong very much!).
