Heels
I hope this doesnt sound too daft but I have seen female Cabin Crews walking through Manchester Airport and have wondered how it is that you wear high heels in your job.
I have read that in the event of an emergency passengers would be encouraged to remove anything that would hinder their escape including heels so how come Cabin Crews are wearing them or is that only before flying?
Thanks

Haven't you kind of answered your own question- they remove them. Though I suspect they don't wait for an emergency.
CG.
Ps, long may they continue!

charliegolf is right, we remove them during an emergency.
At my airline we also have cabin shoes that we wear while we are on the aircraft. These shoes are flat and very comfortable. When we leave the aircraft they go back in our day bag and the heels go back on for walking through the terminal.
