Sorry - I realised that it is physically being shown in CRC, the point I was making is that crew will not be able to access it either at home, or before/after operating downroute - which will be the majority of us. The CRC viewings are primarily, I would imagine, for the benefit of those based in there.
This has the look of a call to arms about it and I am gravely worried that within 24 hours, us cabin crew may well be thinking how easy crew complements were, and wishing we had accepted them with the good grace that many of us on here have been advocating for some time. It's about to get a whole lot worse, methinks, but I will be more than happy to be proved wrong.
The damage this union has done to this company is totally ludicrous. The damage that it may well have inflicted on the people it purports to represent is, possibly, about to manifest itself. The BASSA forum, needless to say, is notable by the lack of comment from any of the reps. When their members need them most, they are nowhere to be seen. If you ever needed to consider what you have spent your membership fees on, now is that time.
I am BA cabin crew and this is my own viewpoint and not that of BA.

HiFlyer14,
The BASSA reps have been caught with their trousers down several times. This is one of those occasions - they don't know what is happening and are very quiet (and hopefully fearful). Even if they did know something, their response would not be useful or worthwhile.

No Access at home
Hiflyer
OK sorry didn't quite understand your point about viewing from home.
I too am at home tomorrow and as soon as I received the email contacted comms to see if there was ANY way to access this info. Reply came back quickly "sorry, technology has not yet got that far". It is very worrying for us mods who have had to endure this long, drawn out battle that with proper engagement could have been resolved and avoided last year. To add insult there is a missive from a poster likening this all to a GAME OF POKER, whilst we all sit at their mercy.

There is support..
To those of you crew worried about what is about to hit you, and the ill feeling from the BA general populace, it may not be much, but i would like to offer some reassurance, that for those of you who DO want to work and not take IA, there is ALOT of support and many hundreds of BA volunteers who want to be there helping you in person to make sure you can do the job that you want to do,without abuse and hassle.
I personally am signed up to be there for you, as i know you are taking the issue as seriously as those of us backing BA in the rest of the company. If that means me hanging round in car parks at 4 am to meet you, so be it. I'll be there.
BATW.

The BA shareprice is up over 6% today. This is far more than the general rise in the market. What is good news for investors, share price and profitability is not necessariy good news for terms and conditions, I wonder if some in the city already have a hint of something to come.
That said I would watch the wires tomorrow with interest.

Not my intent
Not only will crew read that as an ominous statement, it IS an ominous statement. You won't be making anyone feel any less worried, just the opposite.
My obviously poor attempt at reassurance, was in response to the numerous posts from crew worried about how CC were going to be perceived and that there was likely to be some big announcement about hitting crew T's and C's.
If i have done the opposite i can only apologise, and re-itterate my intent, which is to say that there is much support and empathy out there in BA, and not all crew are being tarred with the same brush.
A message which one doesnt see very often.

Iwo jima image
Well it seems someone has (maybe) seen sense. The BASSA front page picture has been changed to one that does not so closely resemble the use of the Iwo Jima image.
I wonder whats made them finally change their mind about the use of the picture?
BAAlltheway, your comments are really appreciated by me. As BA crew,I feel that we have all been tarred with the same brush. If you and other people are willling to help me and others get to work without fear of abuse or intimidation I really do appreciate it.

It occurs to me that one of the more insatiable BASSA reps lives in California, presumably on the courtesy of a US residence or some such official paperwork. Could it be possible that there would be people in the USA who would be upset in the absolute extreme if they knew that the flag raising at Iwo Jima was being used by a more than left wing union as a logo.
Would it not be immensely amusing if there were now a roundabout law in the USA whereby interfering with the lawful operations of an air carrier from a base in another country on the part of an alien constituted an act of terrorism. Insha'Allah!

I have a query for any legal eagles out there.
The Judge found that the imposed changes were not contractual. He actually stated "It is thus, that I find that it was objectively reasonable in the prevailing circumstances to act unilaterally and to make the first change."
So not only were the changes not contractual but also reasonable. As the strike ballot was about imposition, would this ruling not provide BA with a reason to sack any strikers, as the strike over imposition could be deemed to be illegal due to the judge's ruling?
If so not only could BA get rid of any troublesome crew that actually strike, but also do it entirely legally and at no cost. This I thunk could be used as the basis for the company case at any subsequent Industrial Tribunal.
I'm sure there are enough legal brains out there to discuss this with more knowledge than me.

My guess is that given there was initially an expectation of strike dates being announced straight after the result of the ballot, and still now more than a week on, no strike dates, WW wants to let everyone know that the threat of IA has NOT gone away, and that volunteers will still be needed, and probably explain a bit about what the company is doing to prepare, what the impact of ongoing waiting is etc.
Don't you think that if that was the case a general e-mail would have 'done the trick? I don't know..... but the fact that the forum is broadcasted on internal B.A. t.v. channels around the LHR campus, UK locations and locations woldwide might indicate that the message is going to be 'slightly' more substantial? Or is it just me who thinks that there will be more to this colleague forum?!
Any thoughts???

Read the thread back and HiFlyer14 has summed up perfectly how some of us feel.
I think most of us are on tenterhooks at the moment.

Willie Walsh's Employee Forum
As far as I am aware, it is unprecedented for the chief executive of BA to devote an hour-long forum to industrial action. So, it must be substantial.
One scenario is that BA and Unite are edging towards a deal, and that Unite won't be calling a strike whilst there seems to be a chance of negotiating a deal. If so, why not announce this by email on Monday night instead of emailing employees about Wednesday's employee forum? After all, the paying passengers really need some information on what's going on.
Another scenario is that the two sides are still wide apart but are still talking. The threat of industrial action is real, and WW wants to tell employees that contingency planning is still being done and to rally the troops. I suspect that this is the likely scenario.
All will be revealed in 16 hours.

I agree.
One thing it will do is make the Cabin Crew community feel even more isolated. Hell I'm feeling isolated - and I'm coming in to work and voted no and started a new council because of all this!!!![Oooh](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/icon25.gif)
The message, apart from what WW has to say, will be a strong one. Cabin crew seeing all those people "backing BA" is a very powerful image. It could just be for effect to further dampen the militants' spirits. I'm sure there will be an Ace card in there somewhere though.
I am BA cabin crew and the above represents my own view and not that of BA.

BA share price
For those thinking there is a link between whatever WW is going to say tomorrow and the share price movement today, I don't think there is one.
Lufthansa's results were announced today and were better than expected (as in not as bad as expected rather than being good). I think BA's share price has reacted accordingly, simply as it's a similar airline.
